A Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
A Ph.D. degree awarded under the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, may exempt a candidate from the NET requirement.
