Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Written Exam

The written exam consists of a Preliminary and a Main examination.

• Preliminary Exam: This is a screening test with one objective-type paper.⁹ The questions will cover subjects like General Studies, General Aptitude, and General Language. The General Language paper is qualifying, and candidates need to score a minimum of 30% in both English and Hindi.
• Mains Exam: The Mains exam is a descriptive paper consisting of multiple papers, which may include General Hindi, General Studies (Paper I & II), and an Essay.¹⁰ Performance in the Mains exam is crucial as it significantly influences the final merit list.

Interview
