Mechanical Engg.
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with First Class in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech, OR both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. They should have at least 12 years of experience in Teaching/Research/Industry, including 2 years as Lecturer (Selection Grade-I). Experience gained during Ph.D. will also be considered.
Computer Science & Engg.
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering with First Class in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech, OR both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. They should have at least 12 years of experience in Teaching/Research/Industry, including 2 years as Lecturer (Selection Grade-I). Experience during Ph.D. will also be counted.
Electrical Engg.
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with First Class in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech, OR both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. They should have at least 15 years of experience in Teaching/Research/Industry, including 3 years as Lecturer (Selection Grade-II).

BPSC HOD Application Fee and Process
Application Fee: The application fee is ₹100 for all candidates.
Biometric Fee: An additional ₹200 will be charged as a biometric fee for candidates who do not provide their Aadhaar card number.

BPSC HOD Selection Process
The selection will be based on a merit list determined by the candidate’s:

A bonus of 3 marks will be given to candidates who hold a Law Degree.
