SSC CPO SI Selection Process Stages
The SSC CPO SI 2025 selection process is a four-stage procedure. Candidates must qualify in each preceding stage to be eligible for the next. The marks scored in Paper-I and Paper-II are considered for the final merit list.
Stage 1: Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination – CBT)
This is the first written test and is an Objective Multiple-Choice Test.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in Paper-I will be called for the PST and PET. This stage is mandatory but qualifying in nature (no marks are awarded).

Stage 4: Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the aggregate marks in Paper-I and Paper-II will be called for the Detailed Medical Examination. This stage assesses the candidate’s medical fitness for the post, checking for criteria like vision standards, absence of knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, and overall mental and bodily health.
Final Selection
The final merit list is prepared solely based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-I (200 marks) + Paper-II (200 marks), i.e., out of a grand total of 400 marks. Candidates successful in the DME will then be called for Document Verification (DV) before the final appointment
How to Apply Online for SSC CPO SI 2025
The online application process involves two main steps: One-Time Registration (OTR) and Filling out the Application Form.
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)
- Visit the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Login or Register’ link on the homepage.
- New users must click on ‘Register Now’ and complete the OTR process by providing essential details such as Aadhaar Number, Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Education Board, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
- Once completed, a Registration ID and password will be generated.
Step 2: Filling the Online Application Form
- Log in to the official SSC portal using your Registration ID and password.
- Navigate to the ‘Latest Notifications’ section and click the ‘Apply’ link for the “Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2025.”
